Production at Hengdian (HD) Jewelry is built on three core materials: a solid brass base, 18K gold plating, and AAA grade cubic zirconia. Because we manufacture in our own factory, the materials quoted for your order are the same materials we buy, plate, set and inspect in-house.

Brass base metal

A dense copper alloy that gives fashion jewelry the weight and feel of fine jewelry. Brass also machines cleanly, so our design library can carry fine detail - one reason the catalog holds 40,000+ in-stock designs with 500+ new styles released monthly.

18K gold plating

We plate brass with 18K gold at 0.1-0.3 micron. That range is our own house standard for fashion jewelry - a controlled in-house specification rather than an industry-wide figure. If your market needs a different layer, custom plating thickness is available on request.

AAA cubic zirconia

Stones are AAA grade cubic zirconia, selected for clarity, cutting precision and flash. CZ is the workhorse stone of fashion jewelry: diamond-like brilliance at an accessible cost, and durable enough for daily-wear collections.

Compliance and safety

Materials are built around a lead-free formulation, and nickel release is kept within REACH limits. SGS, REACH and CE test reports support this, and the production site is SGS audited.

From raw material to packed carton

Material decisions are made by the same team that answers your quotation. Our own factory in Shanwei, Haifeng (Guangdong) runs five production lines across fourteen controlled processes, and every shipment passes a second QC inspection at our Guangzhou warehouse before dispatch - so the goods you receive match the sample you approved.

Material FAQ

Can I request a different plating thickness?

Yes. Our 0.1-0.3 micron layer is our own house standard; custom plating thickness is available on request for 18K gold plated custom designs (120 pieces per design).

Are the stones real diamonds?

No. We set AAA grade cubic zirconia, the standard stone for fashion jewelry, chosen for diamond-like brilliance at an accessible cost.

What safety reports support the materials?

SGS, REACH and CE test reports cover the lead-free formulation and REACH-compliant nickel release, and the factory is SGS audited.

What is the MOQ to start?

Stock designs start at 6-12 pieces per style (codes beginning with HAI start at 36); custom 18K gold plated designs start at 120 pieces per design. Free samples of 5-7 pieces are available with freight prepaid by the buyer.
